Padding is in the focus of this text, but these cots come with some truly great features. They include a reclining design, extendable legs, pivoting feet, etc. They are all easy to use, but for most of them this comes at a price of a large folded size. Though even such large folded beds become very thin and can fit into narrow spaces.

1. AMENITIES DEPOT Memory Foam 6-Leg Foldable Camping Cot

This AMENITIES DEPOT Memory Foam 6-Leg Foldable Camping Cot is large and with padding, and this makes it a very comfortable bed that you can use also at home for emergency situations and for sudden guests. The official capacity is quite modest, this cot supports the weight of up to 260 lb (118 kg).

The cot is with telescopic legs that can be extended in the range of 13 – 15.7 inches (23 – 40 cm). The dimensions are great, the bed measures 85.6 x 39 inches (217 x 99 cm). This is why it is also in my list of extra long camp cots for tall people.

As you realize from its name, this is a folding and easy to use structure, there is no assembly, you simply unfold it in seconds. The folded dimensions are not its best feature, the folded size is 39.4 x 31.5 x 11 inches (100 x 80 x 28 cm). As you see, it becomes thin when folded.

The weight is substantial 22.7 lb (10.3 kg). The frame is steel and the mentioned padding inside is a memory foam and it is covered with a pleasant fleece cover.

2. Slumberjack Bear Creek 80 x 30 Deluxe Adult Camp Cot

The numbers that you see in the official name of this cot are its dimensions, so this is a big cot that measures 80 x 30 inches (203 x 76 cm). It comes with excellent padding, but they have added a few bonuses. You have a removable sleeping pad and also an adjustable pillow. So this is a complete sleeping set.

The legs are adjustable and with large pivoting feet so they will behave great on any surface. Note also that this is a reclining design and you can use it as a lounge chair.

The weight is 30.36 lb (13.8 kg), and its official capacity is 300 lb (136 kg). The frame is steel and the folded size is 34 x 30 x 10 inches (86 x 76 x 25 cm). Note that it comes with a 2-year warranty.

3. Helinox Cot One Insulated

This cot is unique here, it comes with an integrated self-inflating pad. So what you see as the bed deck is a pad with a foam inside. When inflated, this deck offers insulation that is with the R-value of 5. This is good enough even for winter camping. The pad is 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) thick, and you are off the ground, there are 6.5 inches (17 cm) of clearance under the bed so you have a bit of space underneath the cot for some gear.

The cot is lightweight and compact, fully collapsible, and backpack-portable. This also means it needs a simple assembly. Here are some numbers. The weight is 6 lb 4 oz (2.86 kg), and the packed size is (L x D) 25 x 7.5 inches (64 x 20 cm). Observe that you have both a cot and a pad here, so these are excellent numbers. The capacity is 320 lb (145 kg), and the bed size is 74.5 x 26.5 inches (190 x 68 cm).

The frame is their proprietary aluminum alloy, the tubes are shock-corded and it is all easy to set up. The fabric is a 600-weave ripstop polyester. Note that they give incredible 5-year warranty.

4. Timber Ridge Camping Cot XL

This is a fully padded cot and the padding is thicker in the head section, so perhaps you can manage without a pillow if you are a back sleeper. The design is folding and it is very easy to use. The folded size is reasonable for such a type, 32.84 x 29.92 x 8.27 inches (83.4 x 76 x 21 cm).

You have adjustable legs, and the feet are also pivoting so that they easily adapt to any surface. This is a recliner, so you can raise the back and keep it at any angle. It can be fully flat and you can use it as a cot, but it can also be used as a longer or a camping chair with footrest. This all is regulated by knobs on the sides.

The length is impressive, the dimensions are 81 x 29 inches (206 x 74 cm). This explains XL in the name. You have a storage set on the side where you have a bottle holder and storage pouches.

The frame is steel and the fabric is polyester. Here are a few numbers. The weight is 25.6 lb (11.6 kg) and the capacity is very good 350 lb (159 kg). The cot is 13 inches (33 cm) high, so this allows for gear storage.

5. Bushtec Adventure Camping Cot Sierra 440

This cot is fully padded so you do not need an extra sleeping pad. But it has plenty of other great features. So you have extendable legs, and they can be extended up to 22 inches (56 cm) at the head side, and up to 16 inches (41 cm) at the foot side. The cot is also reclining, you can use it as a lounger and keep the backrest at several angles.

The number in the name describes its impressive official capacity of 440 lb (200 kg). This is why I have added it also in my list of extra heavy duty camping cots for heavy people.

The cot is very long, the bed size is 82 x 34 inches (208 x 86 cm), so this is for tall users. The weight is 29 lb (13.2 kg) and the folded size is 33 x 32 x 10 inches (84 x 81 x 25 cm). So you realize, it is heavy and large when folded, but this is a purely folding cot, there is no assembly of any kind, you simply open it.

The feet design is great, they are very wide, pivoting, and floor-friendly, so you can use it in floored tents without problems. The frame is steel, and the fabric is a ripstop, waterproof, fire retardant, and UV-protected canvas. The attachment to the frame is through bungee cords, so the bed adjusts easily to your body shape.

So this was my list of the best padded camping cots that are currently on the market. As you realize, with such cots you do not need extra sleeping pads. But you have seen an example with a pad included, while one of them is totally unique with an integrated self-inflating insulated pad.

You have really great options to choose from. If you are not a particularly tall and heavy person, then every cot here in the list will be fine for you. Heavier and taller users should bear in mind the official weight capacity and also the length.
