Note also that the seat is moderately high, you have 19 inches (48 cm) so this makes it suitable for taller users. But wait to see its official weight capacity, this chair is designed to support users of up to 600 pounds (272 kg) weight.
The chair comes with soft armrests and this makes it relatively small when packed, it collapses like an umbrella and its packed size is 38.2 x 7.9 x 7.1 inches (97 x 20 x 18 cm). So you realize it is a bit long, but no worry there is a carry bag so you can attach it to the shoulder and carry short distances. It weighs 9.9 lb (4.5 kg), so this is quite moderate for the chairs here in the list.

The chair is full of great features, you have seen its lumbar support mentioned in the name. This implies a strap behind the backrest, it is adjustable and you can find the best fit. You pull the strap on both sides when you are already in the chair, so you can instantly feel what the best position is for you.
The backrest is high, the chair’s total height is 44 inches (112 cm), and all the chair is padded so you have a nice headrest as well. Note also that all parts of this chair are replaceable, you will not find many chairs on the market with such a feature. This tells you that you have a very reliable brand behind this chair. You see the letters XXL in the name of this chair, this is about its overall dimensions that are 33 x 33 x 44 inches (84 x 84 x 112 cm). But it is here because of its extra-wide seat which offers 25 inches (64 cm) of space between its solid armrests. Now, add to this its impressive weight capacity which is 600 lb (272 kg) and you realize that this is a chair designed for the biggest and the heaviest users.
This chair is specific here in the list also because of its rocking design. This is why I have added it to my list of best rocking camping chairs. You have already seen its height, so you have a great headrest as well, and the chair is with padding everywhere. Its packed size is not its best feature, when folded it measures 43 x 33 x 7 inches (109 x 84 x 18 cm). So it is a bit large in two dimensions, but it is also very thin when packed.
The weight is 17.5 lb (7.9 kg) so clearly, the chair is heavy, but you have seen its size, and note also that the frame is a very strong powder-coated steel.

You realize from the picture also that it is nicely padded, the backrest is high so you have a pleasantly padded headrest as well. The armrests are solid and this makes it easy to get in and out. Yet another useful feature is that you have pivoting feet and adjustable legs, so you can nicely level this chair no matter where you use it. As you can imagine, the ground outdoor is rarely flat, and having legs that can be adjusted independently really helps.
The frame is high-quality corrosion-resistant steel. The fabric is 600D waterproof Oxford, it is removable and washable. The weight capacity is 300 lb (136 kg). You will not find a chair on the market with a higher weight capacity, and you will not need one, this LivingXL Chair supports up to 1000 pounds (454 kg) of weight. But the chair is here because if its wide seat that measures (W x D) 26.5 x 23 inches (67 x 58 cm).
It comes with soft armrests that include a cup holder on one side and a cooler on the other side. There is also a storage pouch on the side. The chair is folding by the design, easy to deploy and to fold. From the picture above you realize it is lightly padded. Note also that the carry bag is included, in fact this is a tote bag with a shoulder sling.
The mentioned capacity is because of its strong frame constructed with 22-mm diameter steel tubes and numerous support bars on all the sides. The fabric is also a high-quality 600D polyester. Note that the seat is 20 inches (51 cm) high, so it should be suitable for taller users. The chair weighs 15 lb (6.8 kg).

They use the word Oversized in the name of this chair in combination with the letters XXL, when you see its dimensions you realize this is quite justified. So the seat size is (W x D) 27 x 22 inches (69 x 56 cm), and the overall dimensions of the chair are (W x D x H) 43 x 27 x 40 inches (109 x 69 x 102 cm). Now you realize that it indeed deserves to be here in the list.
The chair weighs 14 lb (6.35 kg), so this is quite normal for the chairs included here. The frame is powder-coated steel, and the fabric is 600D polyester. Note that the chair is fully padded. The capacity is impressive 600 lb (272 kg).

8. Timber Ridge XXL Director’s Chair Oversized
If you want an exceptionally wide chair, this is it. Wider you can find only in the group of double chairs. In fact, this single chair is so wide that two thinner user can fit in it, the seat is 28 inches (71 cm) wide. Note that the seat is moderately high, the clearance is 18 inches (46 cm). The capacity matches the size, so the chair supports users of up to 600 lb (272 kg) of weight.
The chair is folding so there is no assembly, and from the picture above you see that it comes with a side table that folds together with the chair. There is also a phone pocket under the seat. They used a powder-coated steel alloy with 25 mm diameter tubing. The fabric is a typical durable 600D polyester, and the chair is padded as well.
I like the feet because you have bars on the ground, so the chair will not sink in the ground no matter where you use it. The weight is not so great, it weighs 20.3 lb (9.2 kg). The folded dimensions are 35.1 x 27.7 x 5.4 inches (89 x 70 x 13.7 cm). The overall dimensions are (H x W x D) 34.6 x 38 x 22 inches (88 x 97 x 56 cm).

Final thoughts
So this was my list of extra wide outdoor chairs, you will not find anything wider on the market. I might update the list later if I find something worth adding, so bookmark the text and stay informed.
Obviously, all the chairs are extremely wide, the difference between the widest and the narrowest is 10 cm, and this is not substantial. So any of them will be wide enough, this is why you might want to focus on some other features that may be important. You have seen reclining, rocking, chairs with soft and solid armrests, chairs with and without a headrest. These are all features that you might want to consider.
The weight difference is more substantial, by a factor of 2 or so. But these are camping chairs in any case, so you will not carry them anywhere. The packed size can be very different, you have those that fold and become elongated tubes and those that fold like a book so they remain thin but large in two dimensions. This is something to consider, you know how you will transport it and how much space you have in the car or in your trailer.
