Coleman has many camping chairs on the market so indeed it is far from easy to make a relatively short selection. I did my best to include chairs that have something specific that sets them apart from competitors.

So I point out such exceptional features for each of the chairs in the list. But the common feature for all of them is that they are all folding and very easy to use, so there is no assembly of any kind.

My selection of Coleman camping chairs

Here are the chairs ordered by weight from lighter to heavier:

There are two general types here, one is the deign where the chair folds like an umbrella and becomes an elongated tube. The other type folds like a book, so such chairs remain relatively large in two dimensions but they become thin.

1. Coleman Living Collection Flat Fold Chair

The Coleman Living Collection Flat Fold Chair is a part of a set that includes several outdoor elements. It looks cool with its aluminum frame and its wood armrests. It is in such a position in the list because of its great weight which is only 4.85 lb (2.2 kg). The official capacity is 250 lb (113 kg).

You realize from the picture that the legs are such that the chair can be used on any surface and it will not easily sink in a soft ground. But because of such a shape, it is a bit large when packed. The folded dimensions are 22.24 x 21.26 x 3.35 inches (56 x 54 x 8.5 cm). You realize that it becomes very thin, so this is behind the words Flat Fold in the name.

There is no carry bag but the picture shows the padded part on the top bar, so this is a carry handle. The overall dimensions are (L x W x H) 21.7 x 21.3 x 24 inches (55 x 54 x 61 cm).

What I like:

2. Coleman Big-N-Tall Quad Chair

This chair weighs 9.9 lb (4.5 kg), but its official weight capacity is impressive 600 pounds (272 kg). This is why it is also in my list of best outdoor chairs for heavy people.

The seat is 24 inches (61 cm) wide. Note also that the seat is moderately high, you have 19 inches (48 cm) from the ground, so this makes it suitable for taller and bigger users.

The chair is very easy to use, it folds like an umbrella, and it comes with soft armrests and this makes it relatively small when packed. Its packed size is 38.2 x 7.9 x 7.1 inches (97 x 20 x 18 cm). It is a bit long, but there is a carry bag so you can attach it to the shoulder and carry short distances.

There is a light padding everywhere, and you also have an integrated cup holder, a storage pouch, and a cell phone sleeve. The price looks like a true bargain, but Coleman is known for affordable products.

What I like:

• Seat width.

What I dislike:

• Not very high backrest.

3. Coleman Camping Chair with Built-in 4 Can Cooler

As of the moment of writing this text, this chair is a number one bestselling chair on Amazon among outdoor chairs, and this has been so for some time already. There are good reasons for this and this is why the chair is here in the list.

The chair is huge in size, it measures (W x D x H) 37 x 24 x 40.5 inches (94 x 61 x 103 cm). The weight is moderate 9.94 lb (4.5 kg), and the official capacity is 325 lb (147 kg), so this should be fine for most of potential users.

The frame is a heavy-duty powder-coated steel construction, and the fabric is polyester. There are several different colors available, just to know.

Note that the chair is padded all over the seat and the backrest. It has soft armrests, and one of them has an integrated cooler. On the other side you have a cup holder, and a storage pouch on the seat level.

The packed size is 36 x 7 x 6 inches (91 x 18 x 15 cm) and the seat height is 18.1 inches (46 cm). The backrest is high, so shorter users may have a headrest. It is included also in my list of camping chairs with a cooler.

4. Coleman Living Collection Sling Chair

This is yet another chair from the Living Collection and it is here for all the good reasons. The chair includes a reclining feature, so it offers 3 backrest positions. Note also that the backrest is very high and this means you have a proper headrest as well.

The frame is a steel-reinforced aluminum. A very cool feature is its wood armrests. Note that it comes with a carry bag included. This is one of those chairs that fold like an umbrella, so its folded dimensions are 36 x 9.7 x 6.5 inches (91 x 25 x 17 cm).

The weight is 10.6 lb (4.8 kg) and the capacity is 250 lb (113 kg). Its overall dimensions are (L x W x H) 27.2 x 23.6 x 38.6 inches (69 x 60 x 98 cm).

What I like:

• Reclining design.
• Headrest.

What I dislike:

• A bit long when folded.

5. Coleman OneSource Heated Chair

This chair is again from one of their collections. This time it is about OneSource collection, and this includes a long list of products that all operate with the same Coleman OneSource battery which is included.

The collection includes a sleeping bag, a blanket, a sitting pad, lanterns, fans, and even a tent where you can use it for lighting. The battery is a 4800 mAh lithium-ion type.

The chair is a very easy to use folding structure with a movable heated pad, so you can put it on the seat or on the back. There is a heating port on the side where you keep the battery.

As for the heating, there are 4 levels. So you can have 1.5 hours on high (133 °F, 56 °C), 2 hours on medium (123°F, 50 °C), 3 hours on low (113°F, 45 °C), and 2.5 hours on pulse setting (low to high).

The chair comes with a cup holder, and you also have a carry bag included. The frame here is steel and the fabric is a polyester.

The chair is a bit on the heavy side, it weighs 3.2 lb (6 kg) and its capacity is 300 lb (136 kg). The overall dimensions are (D x W x H) 30 x 32.5 x 37.5 inches (76 x 83 x 95 cm). Please see more in this video:

So this was my selection of Coleman camp chairs, and hopefully you realize how great they are, each in its own way. If you are still not sure what to choose, make a list of priority features.

• For example, if you are a heavy and big person, make sure you chose a chair with a high capacity and with a wide seat.

• If having a headrest is important, you have some options here.

• On the other hand, if this is about an elderly user, it may be important to have solid armrests. This makes it easier to get in and out of the chair. There are some great models with such a feature.
