The Coleman 6 person cabin tents presented here are all very different, easy to use, with excellent combinations of features, and very affordable.
If you follow Coleman brand, then you know that they have very different tents on the US market and on the EU market. Those built in their EU-branch are mostly tunnel type and very large. On the other hand, those that are on the US market are mostly dome shaped or cabin type, or close to these designs.
Sometimes it is a bit difficult to determine where a particular tent belongs. This is why it is important to answer the following questions:
What is cabin tent? What are the features of a cabin tent?
This is mainly about the general shape of the tent. So a cabin type tent is normally with straight and steep walls, sometimes completely vertical but usually angled. With such a shape you have plenty of shoulder space and lots of volume.
Most of the cabin tents on the market are also tall so you have a stand-up height. On the other hand, most of them are also with a minimal fly that covers only the ceiling. As a result you have windows and views around. But there are exceptions of course, with a full coverage fly for a complete protection from the elements.
Are cabin tents waterproof?
There are many factors that play role here. So as mentioned, a cabin type tent can have a full fly and this should mean a better protection from the rain, but this depends on how the fly is made, if the tapes are sealed, etc. So a full coverage fly is certainly not a guarantee that the tent is indeed waterproof.
Most of cabin tents are built for summer camping, with lots of mesh and large windows, so they are usually not designed for harsh weather conditions.
All these issues apply also to the Coleman tents presented here. So you will see some with a minimal fly and large windows, and some with a full fly and better protection.

1. Coleman 6-Person Connectable Tent
This tent may look like a dome type but this is indeed a cabin type shelter and it is very unique on the market. Namely you have a connecting design here and this is one of the best examples of connectable tents on the market.
On the left you have the 6-person tent so this is why it is here, but as you see, it is connected to a smaller tent from the same series. So this 6-person tent has 3 openings where you can attach another three 3-person tents or 6-person tents.
The 6-person tent can be used alone of course, its connecting features are just an extra bonus.
It is fully freestanding, and in addition to this, here you have what they call the fast-pitch design with a hub element, so pitching this tent is easy and you can do this very fast.
There are several roof vents so the tent is nicely ventilated. But there are also beautifully designed windows/doors, with mesh and panels, and they are with small brims above so you have dry entry points. You have 4 doors in total. One E-cable port is available as well.
The tent is supported with a combination of steel legs and fiberglass roof poles, and there are also 4 separate short fiberglass brim poles.
The weight is 28 lb (12.7 kg), the overall dimensions are 144 x 120 inches (366 x 305 cm), and the inner area is 90.4 ft² (8.4 m²). The peak height is impressive 76 inches (193 cm).

2. Coleman 6 Person Instant Cabin Tent
It is hard to find a more popular tent on the market. As of the moment of writing this text, this tent has more than 17000 reports on Amazon alone. Now, this figure is for the whole series of three tents so it is not clear how much each of them has received, but in any case this shows how incredibly popular this design is.
As you realize from the picture, this tent is a typical cabin type. Its walls are straight and angled. But its name suggests its main feature and this is its instant setup. You can have it ready literally in a minute.
This is also a single-layer design, there is no separate fly, it is integrated in the roof. This all is pre-attached to the frame, so you just extend its telescopic poles.
One more great feature here is that the tent is fully freestanding, so you can pitch it anywhere. You have views on all sides, there is one door shown in the picture. The windows have mesh and zippered panels for full protection.
The tent is tall, the peak height is 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m), its dimensions are 10 x 9 ft (3.05 x 2.74 m), and the overall area is 90 ft² (8.4 m²).
It is a bit bulky, this is because of its telescopic poles, the packed size (L x D) is around 48 x 9 inches (122 x 23 cm). The weight is 24.9 lb (11.3 kg). This tent is also in my list of best 6 person instant cabin tents.

3. Coleman Tenaya Lake 6 Person Fast Pitch Cabin Tent With Cabinets
I am showing this tent from the rear side on purpose so that you can see its two cabinets. They come with shelves for extra gear storage. This is a very pleasant summer family camping tent with almost vertical walls as you realize from the picture.
The tent is smaller in their series of two, so there is yet another 8-person version. What you do not see is its hinged door which is yet another great feature. There is a removable divider so the tent is formally a two-room structure.
Here are a few more numbers that you may need. The weight is 33.2 lb (15.06 kg) and the dimensions (without the cabinets) are 13 x 7 ft (396 x 213 cm). The cabinets measure 2 x 2 ft (61 x 61 cm) each.
The total floored area is 99 ft² (9.2 m²), the peak height is 80 inches (203 cm), and the packed size is 33 x 13 x 12 inches (84 x 33 x 30 cm).

4. Coleman Tent Octagon 6 Man
This is a feature rich tent with an octagon base and roughly 4 meters diameter. The exact dimensions are (L x W x H) 13 x 13 x 7 ft (3.96 x 3.96 x 2.15 m) so you realize it is also very tall. The total floored area is around 169 ft² (15.7 m²). It is enormously popular and on Amazon alone it has received more than 1700 reports (as of the moment of writing this text).
The side legs poles are completely straight and steep, and this is all steel. You also have a very functional full-coverage fly with a huge 4500 mm waterproof rating. But when the sky is clear, you can unzip the fly on many places and then the tent transforms into a great shelter with views around through its 6 windows as shown in the picture above.
You have two doors and they are both hinged type. Note also that this is a Black Out (or dark rest) tent, so this means that it blocks 99% of daylight. They claim that this also makes the tent up to 5 degree Celsius cooler during the day.
The weight is substantial 45.6 lb (20.7 kg), and the packed size is 33 x 12 x 12 inches (85 x 30 x 30 cm kg). But you have a sturdy wheeled carry bag included.

On the other hand, if you want to sleep longer in the morning, or you go camping with small kids that need to take a nap during the day, go for the Coleman Tent Octagon 6 Man because of its dark rest bedroom.
