Best Vango AirBeam Tents UK

Here you have my selection of the best Vango airbeam tents in UK, all large tents but very easy to use because of their inflatable beams, with high waterproof rating for full protection in any weather conditions.

Vango is a brand that has been on the forefront in this inflatable tents industry. From what I know, they started with them more than a decade ago. They are still among the best known builders of air beam tents, they have them more on the EU market than Coleman EU branch.

Supply lines are in a rather chaotic state these days, and it is a bit difficult to make a list with such tents because they appear and disappear so frequently. This is why the list below is relatively short. In principle they have far more models that would deserve to be included here, but it may be difficult to actually order some of them.

In this video you can see a bit more about their latest air beam technology, please have a look:

My list of the best Vango inflatable tents

The tents in the list below are ordered by the inner floor area, from smaller to larger, but they are all large and with multiple rooms.

I have tried to include tents that have at least something specific, although they share a number of the same features. For example, all Vango air beam tents have their TBS system for stability in windy conditions.

I hope you will love the products I present below, I choose only the best that is on the market, those that I can fully recommend, and present them here in the site. Just a heads up that as an associate of Amazon and other sellers, I may earn some commission from qualifying purchases of products bought via links on this page, at no additional cost for you.

1. Vango Skye Air 500 Tent

Vango Skye Air 500 Tent.
Vango Skye Air 500 Tent.

If you follow Vango, then you probably know that this Skye 500 Tent has been on the market for a number of years already as a solid pole version. But they have recently launched it with air beams as well, you have them 3 and each of them inflates separately.

The official capacity is 5 people. You have an inner tent with two doors and with its own sewn-in and sealed floor. There is also a front room with a linked-in type floor.

The fabric is their Sentinel Active with a 3000 mm waterproof rating, fire retardant and with UV 30+ protection. There are two solid windows on the sides. Note that the tent is well ventilated, there are high vents on the front, visible in the picture, and one large vent on the back.

The peak height is 72.8 inches (185 cm). The inner tent offers 68 ft² (6.3 m²), and its width is 118 inches (300 cm), so it is possible to put 5 sleeping pads on the floor. You have almost the same area in the living room.

Please see more in this video:

What I like:

  • Great waterproof rating.
  • Solid windows.

What I dislike:

  • Only one door.

2. Vango Ringstead Air Adult Mixed Inflatable Tent

Vango Ringstead Air Adult Mixed Inflatable Tent.

This is a tunnel type tent and its official capacity is 4 people. For this you have a floor area of 110 ft² (10.2 m²). There are no solid poles here, you have 4 air beams for support.

The area is divided into 3 separate rooms. This includes two inner tents on the sides with bedrooms, and there is also a large living room in the middle.

Note that the inner tents are removable so you can organize the area into 3, 2, and 1 room. The bedrooms are what they call a lights-out design, this is a sort of dark-rest construction with a very reduced daylight.

The tent is quite enclosed, with one door and one window, and the peak height is good, you have 76.77 inches (195 cm). Vango’s tents are usually with a huge waterproof rating. So here you have 3000 mm, and this is more than you will ever need. The shell fabric is their Sentinel Active polyester and on the floor you have a thick polyethylene.

Ventilation is based on vents which are on the narrow sides behind the bedrooms. There is also a mesh section on the window, and the door is a double-layer type with a full mesh door plus a panel. I see it best suited for a cooler climate.

Here are a few numbers. The tent weighs 38.1 lb (17.3 kg) and its packed size is 31.5 x 15.7 x 15.5 inches (80 x 40 x 40 cm). The dimensions are 16.4 x 8.2 ft (500 x 250 cm).

What I like:

  • The protection.
  • Multiple rooms.

What I dislike:

  • Not the best option for a warmer climate.

3. Vango Airbeam Odyssey Air 500 Villa Tent

Vango Airbeam Odyssey Air 500 Villa Tent.
Vango Airbeam Odyssey Air 500 Villa Tent.

This is one of smaller Vango tents in its Odyssey series, the floored inner area is 140 ft² (13 m²). But in spite of such relatively small area, it still offers 3 rooms. So you have an inner tent with two asymmetric sleeping rooms, plus one large living room in front of it.

The inner tent is built from a bit darker material so this is what they call a lights-out design with reduced glare. In my view, this tent can be used in all seasons.

It is supported by air beams, and the only solid pole is the short brim pole that you see above the door. A manual double-action pump is included and one person can set it up easily.

It comes with solid windows, and the shell fabric is a 70D polyester with a 4000 mm HH rating. All seams are factory sealed. The fabric satisfies ISO 5912 standards regarding requirements on safety, performance, and rain resistance. It provides also UPF 30 UV protection. The floor is fully sewn-in and this is a waterproof polyethylene.

The tent is ventilated, it comes with several low and high vents, and this is what makes it suitable also for summer camping. The peak height is impressive 82.7 inches (210 cm). There is also an E-cable port. The tent weighs 40.9 lb (18.55 kg), and the packed size is 27.6 x 15.7 x 14.6 inches (70 x 40 x 37 cm).

What I like:

  • Solid windows.
  • The height.
  • Great waterproof rating.

What I dislike:

  • Heavy.

4. Vango 6 Person Odyssey Air 600 Tent

Vango 6 Person Odyssey Air 600 Tent.

This is yet another tent from the Odyssey series, but you realize it is very different from the tent shown above. You have only air beams here. The beams are pre-bent and straight on the sides for extra headspace inside. There is a manual pump included, and one person can set it up easily in just a few minutes.

Here again you have their “lights out” design. The tent has 3 rooms. There is an inner tent with two rooms separated by a divider, and one large living room is in front of the sleeping zone. The official capacity is 6 people, but you have a huge floor area of 190 ft² (17.7 m²).

To continue with numbers, the packed size of this tent is 70 x 37 x 36 cm, and the weight is 38.6 lb (17.5 kg). Overall dimensions are 183.07 x 149.61 inches (465 x 380 cm). The tent is very tall with its 79.92 inches (203 cm) peak height.

As for materials, the floor in the living room is linked-in polyethylene, and the shell is a 70D polyester with a waterproof rating of 4000 mm. They claim it is weather tested to the European standard EN 5912 by a certified test center. You have solid windows.

What I like:

  • Huge area.
  • Tall tent.
  • Lights out design.
  • Solid windows.

What I dislike:

  • Linked-in floor in the living room.

5. Vango Stargrove II Air 600XL Tent

Vango Stargrove II Air 600XL Tent
Vango Stargrove II Air 600XL Tent.

This tent is truly huge with its 200 ft² (18.6 m²) of the inner floored area. But you also have a fully protected floorless porch with 75 ft² (7 m²) which is almost like an extra room.

So you have an inner tent within the shell, and here you have two dividers that create 3 bedrooms. In front of it you have a large living room which is with a fully sealed floor. With all this you can organize the space in a variety of configurations so you can have 1, 2, 3, or 4 rooms.

The mentioned porch can be used for sitting and cooking without thinking about damaging the floor. This large structure is supported by 5 air beams, now you understand why it is here in the list. A double action pump is included, and one person can easily set this tent up in 15 minutes or so.

There are 6 + 2 windows, two external doors, and a couple of e-cable ports. Ventilation is excellent here, there is a huge double-layer door under the porch, with a mesh and a panel. But you also have numerous vents on the sides under the solid windows, plus one high vent behind the inner tent.

Some numbers that you might want to know. The weight is 56.2 lb (25.5 kg), the peak height is impressive 82.68 inches (210 cm), and the packed size is 31.5 x 18.1 x 18.1 inches (80 x 46 x 46 cm). The official capacity is 6 people, but this tent can easily accommodate 12.

What I like:

  • Solid windows.
  • Great rooms.
  • The height.

What I dislike:

  • The weight.

Final thoughts

So this was my selection of the best Vango airbeam tents on the UK market. As you realize, their official capacity is in the range of 4-6 people, but the difference regarding the inner floored area is by around a factor 3.

This means that you have a variety with respect to overall comfort and features. Some of them can accommodate two times more people than what their official capacity suggests.

Waterproof rating is high for each of these tents, and this is quite typical for this brand and for the European tents.

Each of them has a living room, plus bedrooms. But there are differences in the living room floor design, some are with a fully sealed floor and some are with a linked-in floor. The former is certainly better for protection against crawling insects.
