The full-coverage fly is a 68D 185T polyester with a 1500 mm coating. The mesh areas are 40D nylon no-see-um. The floor is 68D 185T polyester but with an 1800 mm waterproof rating.

3. Eureka Tents Jade Canyon X 6 Person

This Jade Canyon series has been around for a number of years, and this is the second generation of it. There are two tents on the market, one for 4 people and one for 6 people. Here I give numbers for the 6-person version.
As you realize from the picture, it is hard to imagine a tent that would be more cabin-type. The walls are tall, steep, and straight, and you have views on all four sides. There is one door only but it is large and tall.
One detail that I dislike in the design is the fact that the inner window panels are with toggles only, there are no zippers. This is not so great if you have rain and wind combined. But as you see, the overhanging fly extends above the windows so they are partially protected. You also have a dry entry porch awning.
The poles are a combination of 19 mm diameter steel and 16 mm diameter aluminum. The tent fabric is a 68D 190T polyester taffeta 2000 mm, and the fly is a 75D 190T polyester taffeta 2000 mm.
The 6-person tent is with an area of 100 ft² (9.3 m²), and its interior peak height is an impressive 84 inches (213 cm). The tent weighs 24 lb 1.6 oz (10.9 kg). The packed size is (L x D) 29 x 10 inches (74 x 25 cm).
Please see more in this video that shows the 4-person version:
Pros:
- The height.
- Inner volume and comfort.
- Quality poles.
Cons:
- The windows are without zippers.
4. Eureka Copper Canyon LX 12 Tent

If you follow the Eureka brand, then you probably know that they have had the Copper Canyon series on the market for many years already. But this is the second generation of the series with the letters LX in the name. This 12-person tent is the largest in the series of four tents.
The tent can be described as a cabin-type tent and it is a true freestanding structure. The fly is a partial coverage type and it protects mainly the roof, but this is why you have views around through those numerous large windows.
You have two doors here, an E-cable port, and many storage pouches on the walls. The frame is a combination of steel used for the legs poles, and fiberglass used for the roof.
It weighs 37 lb 14.1 oz (17.2 kg), so it is quite heavy. But observe the area, you have no less than 168 ft² (15.6 m²), and the tent is also incredibly tall, the peak height here is 84 inches (213 cm).
The packed size is 29.53 x 11.42 x 11.42 inches (75 x 29 x 29 cm). In spite of such a size, the tent is quite easy to use.
Pros:
- Overall comfort.
- Ease of use.
Cons:
- The windows are without zippers.
Final thoughts
This selection of Eureka camping tents includes options with full and partial coverage type fly. So you can choose tents that are very suitable for rainy and windy conditions as well as summer camping tents for calm weather.
Regarding the floor area, it is always best to ignore the official capacity or simply downgrade the tent to half its declared capacity. You’ll have plenty of space for gear. But indeed, some of them have vestibules as extra space to store your stuff.
