Check out our review of the best-rated Eureka 4-person tents, in a variety of styles and for different seasons, from a globally known outdoor brand.

These are tents for four people and the inner floored area is almost the same in all of them. However, you will see some with a full coverage fly and with vestibules that offer lots of extra space for gear.

I guess there is no need to present Eureka as a brand, it has been around since 1895. Yes, you are reading this correctly, they started with their rugged canvas wagon covers and horse blankets.

Here are the tents ordered by the weight from heavier to lighter:

The list is relatively short but I have selected very different designs. On the other hand, these are representatives of series, so you have them in some other sizes as well.

I hope you will love the products I present below, I choose only the best that is on the market, those that I can fully recommend, and present them here in the site. 1. Eureka Jade Canyon X 4 Person Tent

You realize from the picture that this is a very typical cabin type with steep and tall walls. But it has that unique overhanging roof that protects the door and the windows. Note that they also have a 6-person version.

The peak height is impressive 84 in (213 cm), so you have a stand-up height everywhere. This together with large windows on all the sides make the tent very pleasant and livable.

The frame is an excellent combination for a camping tent. So you have steel leg poles 19 mm diameter, and on the roof the poles are aluminum with 13 mm diameter.

The fabric is standard for such tents, so you have a 68D 190T polyester taffeta with a 2000 mm rating used for the body. The fly is with the same rating but here you have a 75D 190T polyester taffeta. The floor is a 75D 190T polyester taffeta with a 3000 mm rating. Numerous mesh sections are a 40D polyester no-see-um.

Here are some numbers you might need. The weight is 21 lb 3.2 oz (9.61 kg) and dimensions are 96 x 96 inches (244 x 244 cm), so the base is square. The area is 64.6 ft² (6 m²). It packs to (L x D) 27 x 9 inches (69 x 23 cm).

Please see more in this video:

What I like:

  • Very tall tent.
  • It looks great.
  • Great windows.
  • Freestanding.

What I dislike:

  • No zippers on some windows.

2. Eureka Copper Canyon LX 4 Person Tent

Eureka Copper Canyon LX 4 Person Tent.

This tent is again a cabin-type with a square base that measures 96 x 96 inches (244 x 244 cm) and with steep and straight walls. So you have lots of head space in this tent. Note also that its peak height is 84 inches (213 cm).

The tent is the smallest in the series that includes also a 6 person, 8 person, and 12 person tent, all built in the same style. This series has been on the market for many years, but the version in the picture is its latest with the letters LX in the name.

It is best suited for summer camping and for calm weather. You have 4 windows and one door. Note that the door is with a brim so this is a nice dry entry design.

The frame is a combination of steel leg poles with a 19 mm diameter and 12.7 mm diameter fiberglass poles on the roof. It is easy to use, and one person can do the job.

The weight is 19 lb 4.96 oz (8.76 kg) and the floor area is 64.6 ft² (6 m²). The packed size is (L x D) 27 x 9 inches (69 x 23 cm). Here is more about this series of tents:

What I like:

  • Very pleasant.
  • Freestanding.
  • Tall tent.
  • Fair price.

What I dislike:

  • No windows zippers.

3. Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent

Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent.
Eureka Space Camp 4 Person Tent.

When you see this tent without its full coverage fly, you realize that it is a hybrid with pre-bent poles so the sides are almost straight. But the overall loops shape are closer to a dome tent. The peak height is 68 inches (173 cm).

You have quality aluminum poles for support. Two of them are X-crossed as usual with dome tents and those are 13 mm 7000-series aluminum. But they have added two shorter 8.5 mm diameter poles as well, and these make the side walls completely vertical.

The inner body fabric is a 68D 185T polyester taffeta, the rain fly is the same but with a 1500 mm rating. The same fabric is on the floor but with 1800 mm rating. The mesh areas are a 40D nylon no-see-um. You also have a full set of aluminum stakes.

With its full fly you have protection in any weather conditions. The tent has two doors and two vestibules. Inside you have 10 storage pockets and two gear lofts.

Here are some numbers. The base size is 96 x 90 inches (244 x 229 cm) and the floor area is 60 ft² (5.6 m²). But the two vestibules add 16.5 + 12 ft² (1.5 + 1.1 m²).

The weight is 13 lb 14.4 oz (6.29 kg) and the packed size is (L x D) 25 x 8 inches (64 x 20 cm). Please see more in this video:

What I like:

  • Quality materials.
  • Full protection.
  • Lots of storage options.

What I dislike:

  • The price.

4. Eureka Kohana 4 Person Tent

Eureka Kohana 4 Person Tent.
Eureka Kohana 4 Person Tent.

Here you have a very typical dome-style tent with all the good and less good features. The good is that it is light, low profile for a great performance in any weather, and compact. You have a full coverage fly with two vestibules that offer lots of protected space for gear.

The less good is that the inner volume is typical for a dome tent, and the peak height is 56 inches (142 cm).

The tent is supported with quality aluminum poles, there are 4 of them and all are 9.5 mm diameter 7000 series alloy.

The fabric is very good. You have a 75D 190T polyester canopy and a 40D polyester no-see-um mesh. The same material is used for the fly but here you have a PU coating with a 3000 mm waterproof rating. The bathtub floor is a much more durable 150D polyester with a PU coating and waterproofness of 2500 mm.

Ventilation is simply excellent for such a type, with low and high vents on the fly, you can see them in the picture. Note that the vestibule flaps can be used to create awnings.

The tent weighs only 9 lb 3 oz (4.17 kg) and its base measures 96 x 90 inches (244 x 229 cm). So the floor area is 60 ft² (5.6 m²). The two vestibules add 16 + 16 ft² (1.49 + 1.49 m²), so you have a total protected area of 92 ft² (8.38 m²). The packed size is also very good (L x D) 24 x 8 inches (61 x 20 cm).

In this video you can see a bit more, please have a look:

What I like:

  • Great ventilation.
  • Light tent.
  • Compact.
  • Vestibules.

What I dislike:

  • Steep price.

Summary

So this was my selection of Eureka 4 person tents and I hope you realize that you have them in very different shapes and with different features. Some are cabin-style shelter and more suitable for calm weather. But you have also options with a full coverage fly and with vestibules.

Regarding the floored area, there are no big differences, but the mentioned vestibules add lots of extra comfort. Regarding weather protection, those with a full fly are definitely something to consider if this is what you need.

Editor’s Choice tent

The tent shown below is my choice because of its dual nature. It is almost like a cabin tent, but with its full fly and quality materials it offers full protection in a 3-season camping. Vestibules are an extra feature for storage, plus all those inner storage elements.
