Final thoughts

So this was my selection of best propane camp stoves, and you realize how very different they all are. This is why I do not chose one as an Editor’s Choice product. But here are some tips that may help.

  • If you need a stove in a cold environment where you would heat the tent, then go for the Campy Gear Hunky. You can use it also for cooking, it is perfect for one or two people.
  • If you have a few people in the group, then you might want to go for some of the stoves with multiple burners. You have several excellent options.
  • On the other hand, if you are limited with space in the car, or want a stove that can be carried some shorter distances in the pack, go for those two that are on the top of the list. Both are compact, but the first is also ultralight.
